When installing a rangehood over a BBQ in Wollongong or anywhere in NSW, height and clearance are critical for both safety and performance.

Recommended Minimum Height​
For most gas BBQs with open grills, the bottom of the rangehood should be installed at least 1200mm above the cooking surface.

If the BBQ is primarily a flat plate or hotplate style, the clearance may be around 1000mm, however you must always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for both the BBQ and the rangehood.
